WisdenWorld website goes live!
Blue Prawn won the pitch to redesign the website for WisdenWorld, a respected online retailer of the famous Wisden cricketing Almanack.
We worked very closely with the client to ensure that all problems with their previous site were addressed. We created a bespoke content management system which enables the client to have complete control over the site's content but most importantly the system is tailored to suit the client's ideal way of working ensuring a smooth and efficient process from sale to delivery. The admin system enables products to be listed and edited with mimimal effort.
All in all this site was turned round in a matter of weeks and has lead to the clients hopes and aspirations for the new site being well and truly exceeded. A cracking example of how closely we work with, and listen to our clients.
You can view the site at www.wisdenworld.com

Blue Prawn have breathed new life into Menorca Gold's property brochure
Blue Prawn have created a 24 page special edition brochure for Menorca Gold, a luxury property letting company. We were commissioned to breathe new life into the existing house style and utilise the recent illustrations that we have created for the company.
The results are striking, each property now has a page to itself with the resort information showcased above. The illustrative approach has stunning stand out qualities which combine with a rigid grid layout that ensures the information and call to action are displayed both clearly and consistently.
Our new website is voted runner up in the Best Business Web site for 2008!
We entered our new web site into the Huntingdonshire Business Awards this year and were shortlisted to the final three with the results announced at a Gala Event on Friday 7th November 2008. Sadly we didn't win but were voted runners up for the internet award.
The aim of the awards is to recognise both people and companies who have made a real difference to business in Huntingdonshire over the past 12 months, fully supported and embraced by the Hunts Post - the leading newspaper for Huntingdon.
The awards are open to all businesses within the region, irrespective of size, turnover or staff who have offices within the Huntingdonshire region. Our congratulations go to ISC Software Solutions who were voted the winners of the award.
Blue Prawn create the brand identity for Gable Holidays
Blue Prawn have created a stunning identity and series of websites for Gable Holidays, a global holiday property letting company.
This was a new and exciting route to market for an existing business. Currently providing a fully-managed holiday lettings business, there was a downturn in the marketplace caused by tough trading conditions. The credit crunch and hikes in airfares, meant a fresh approach was needed. There was already a successful direct lettings global website in place, and this idea was developed as the basis of a new offering, with a twist!Rather than providing a homogenous site that covered the globe, the umbrella identity of Gable Holidays was formed, with sub brands that provided direct to market holiday lettings on a country by country basis. Popular with owners because each site actively promotes the destination country, and popular with holidaymakers as all the information for a great holiday is at their fingertips. The first site..www.menorcaholidaysdirect.co.uk was launched this summer and has already been a great success. More international arrivals are coming soon!
Grab one of our packages!
Following the success of our start-up packages 'Tadpole', 'Chick' and 'T-Rex' for new businesses and to coincide with our new identity, we have launched 3 more cost-saving packages aimed at more established companies.
We are sure that you will agree that they are a good looking bunch and are geared at transforming businesses without costing them an arm or a leg and in today's climate this is a very good thing!
Croquet on the lawn anyone?
We have tried to keep a lid on this until we sorted every last detail but we can't hold it in any longer. Just look at where we are moving into! We are about to take up residency within the Creative Exchange Centre in St Neots, Cambridgeshire!
We have been keeping our beedies on the devlopments on this project ever since we spotted the announcement in the local press and as soon as it became available, snapped up a third floor office there, complete with views towards Priory Park and a balcony for morning mochas! The building is striking and incredibly exciting and even has a grass roof garden! This is a glorious reflection of the company's growth and represents the next stage of our growth plan. We have built up a solid reputation and client base and now along with our shiny new identity and website are set to kickstart a substantial new business drive. The stunning office will allow us to work more efficiently whilst being able to attract a broader range of clients and also strengthen our presence in the local business community.
We expect to take up residency in January 2009 and we will keep you fully informed. To make sure that you keep up to date, why not sign up for our newsletter, The Prawn's Tales if you haven't already done so!
The prawn has grown a new skin!
Blue Prawn has undergone a striking rebrand which kickstarts the next stage in our growth! We now look more grown up to match our growth spurt and we now have a stunning new website that has been rebuilt from the ground up. Topping it off is the launch The Prawn's Tails, our newsletter!
It was therefore decided to rename the company - Blue Prawn Design & Marketing Ltd. And the results? Well we're over the moon with our new skin! Blue Prawn now has a much more polished identity which also makes more of our strapline - Bin the Comfort Blanket! The website has also been rebuilt from the ground up. We have retained the same personality and core elements from the previous site but have reworked them into a cleaner format that is easier for the user to navigate. Behind the scenes the site now features a fully editable content management system and is now fully web compliant, we are stoked at the results and would love to hear your thoughts aswell!
